Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative is
responsible for a high level of customer service in interacting with customers
by performing retail transactions, helping customers fuel vehicles, ensuring
merchandise is available for purchase, cleaning the interior and exterior of
the store and preparing food products.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Essential Functions (in a typical work week):
Any
employee may be required by their manager to perform any of the duties
described in their position description, and other duties which may be
necessary or desirable for which the employee is qualified.
RETAIL:
●
Greets customers as
they enter the location.
●
Accepts money in the
form of cash, checks, and credit or debit cards for items purchased
●
Ensures accurate
transactions by balancing cash register at the beginning and end of shift, and
sales at the end of shift.
●
Sells age related
products according to local laws and company policy.
●
Under the direction of
store manager restocks the cooler and floor displays.
●
Cleans the exterior
and interior of the store including rest rooms as directed by the store
manager.
●
Processes returns and
exchanges according to store policy.
●
Identifies prices of
products and services and tabulates bills with available equipment.
●
Assists customers with
questions, locates products, resolves complaints, provides information, and
resolves price discrepancies.
●
Bag, box, and wrap purchased
items.
FUEL:
●
Greets customers
●
Pumps the amount and
type of fuel the customer requests (if applicable)
●
Cleans automobile
windows for customer
●
Processes payments
●
Responsible for fuel
island upkeep to include emptying trash bins, sweeping the lot, etc.
●
Knowledge of safety
protocols including where to locate emergency shut-off valves and how to use
them.
●
Clean and maintain
fuel pumps
●
Clean up fuel and oil
spills
FOOD:
●
Responsible for the
prep, cooking and food handling of food service areas
●
Maintain
well-organized and orderly food area
●
Take and receive
orders from customers for hot deli items
●
Monitor hot deli case
and keep stocked with fresh items
●
Prepare food to
company standards and processes
●
Clean and organize
dishes and utensils
Secondary

on occasion, to assist other positions as needed/necessary.
Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

skills, as needed to make change and give refunds.

Knowledgeable about

Education and Experience:
●
High school diploma or
equivalent preferred.
●
Successful completion
of on-the-job training.
●
Food handlers card
preferred.
●
A combination of
relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education preferences.
Physical Requirements:
●
Prolonged periods
standing and working on cash register or related equipment.
●
Must be able to lift
up to 15 pounds at times.
●
May need to work
nights, weekends, and holidays.
●
Ability to perform
repetitive movements over long periods of time.
Work Environment:
●
General retail
environment, which may contain exposure to moderate levels of noise in a
moderate to fast-paced environment. Schedule
may vary and may include days, swing, nights, weekends and holidays. Frequent
face-to-face contact with colleagues and customers.
